Mmmmmm, sacri-licious

If you like it when people use satire and irony to bust on christianity and christians, then this is the guy for you:

Now I must go figure out what an imaginary number is.

I still have my pink Engineering Math text book if that would help.

Curse that text book. It weighed 10 lbs and taught me nothing.

the square root of a negative number.

Apparently, it is not just relevent to theoretical math. Physicists can apply it for practical purposes, something to do with sine waves...maybe.

That's all I know about imaginary numbers. My friend, who is a physicist, went on about it for 15 minutes, after I asked about the usefulness of theoretical math.

That was all I left the conversation with.

Am I helping?

Mark, thanks - I knew what an imaginary number was. Jason and I have spent considerable time in the complex number plane, as fun as that was.

Just for your insubordination, enjoy a picture of the mandelbrot set, created with imaginary numbers.
